omg! do u text 2?
Monday, September 28, 2009We have a lot to be proud of when it comes to one of our newest clients. Not only was our involvement with the iZUP project one of the most in-depth and fast-paced web assignments we’ve ever worked on, but the product itself is literally going to save lives – one text at a time.
iZUP is the brain child of illume, a Concord-based software company which specializes in creating mobile devices focused on safety and accident prevention. The product itself can be easily downloaded to your mobile phone for as little as $5 a month. When it’s turned on, the app blocks calls and texts from being sent and received if the mobile device is traveling at speeds greater than 10 MPH. For parents of teen drivers, the arrival of iZUP comes not a moment too soon.
In partnership with PAN Communications, which handled the PR for the project, FDG assisted with the creation of iZUP’s brand – from naming the product, to designing the logo, to brainstorming positioning statements, to the design and development of a web site that utilizes a user-friendly but completely integrated CMS system, all in record time. We are proud of the partnerships we formed and the work that resulted from this project, but are also so proud to have been a part of a solution that is very necessary and will have a positive impact on the lives of drivers. The product will be available in mid-October, at http://www.getizup.com. In the mean time, keep your “iZUP” and on the road.
I WISH I HAD BEEN THERE!
Critics are saying it's a computer-generated feat, but we'd like to believe that this guy just has a lot of luck. Or very good aim. http://tinyurl.com/ydpsvty

Mashable is a great source for Social Media news, and most recently published an article about the usership on Twitter. Think teens are tweeting? Think again!
